We're Upgrading to Flagrant-2!

I had awesome music for this one... Unfortunately Warner Music Group cut out the audio when I uploaded it to YouTube. So if you'd like to see the the full cut, let me know!

  1. Look at 0:44-0:47 ....wtf kinda defense is that. He's basically stretched out with his elbows on my back.

That screen where he ran into ROG was pretty blatant though, I didn't even knew that happened. Watching ROG flail back at him was priceless as well!

Who would of thought that ALC would be the most wanted player in the league right now.

  3. first one, is not a player control issue. that wasn't a spin move...i dont know what the technical term is, but it was a fake spin move back to forward progress. there is no player control issue, and i didn't ram into Ma causing him to fall. my right foot stepped on his foot causing him to fall - that is no foul and nothing that i have control over. maybe what you don't notice, or failed to mention is that afterwards, ma is pulling on my shirt (most likely accidentally), and subsequently mat pushes me in the back as i am already being pulled down. THAT is dangerous. to summarize: foul on ma, though not on purpose, and foul on mat.

second clip was not game point for hyn-ma-mat (they lost 12-4). this was the very first play of the game. huyen tried to back me down so i tried to plant my feet to prevent him from doing so (something i do against ray all the time). yea, i lost my footing and he let up, so i fell in his direction. then he drove baseline and tried to do it again. yes i fouled him. clearly. me being over aggressive yes, i'm sorry, i'll try and take it easy next time.

third clip, especially after looking at it. sure its a foul, but call that a dirty play? give me a fucking break. wtf am i supposed to do? i went up with my hand trying to block the ball as he was letting go of it. am i supposed to land with my hand still up in the air? again, give me a fucking break.

fourth clip, all intentional, i was angry at roger, he was angry at me. 100% intentional, 100% foul. it was heat of the moment, but i wouldn't have done anything differently. that's how i felt at the moment. i applaud roger for not trying to knock me out after that happened.

  4. First clip, I think you can't really blame either player, and it goes jump ball and possession arrow.

2nd clip yes, a bit too over aggressive on Huyen and a foul on alec.

3rd clip, alec is making a play on the ball and is trying to contest a layup. contact? yes. Foul? yes. Over aggresive? No. Intentional? no.

4th clip, yes that is a foul on alec. too much contact. But I should mention, that happens to me all the time. People know I am going to screen and to try to get through they try to bowl me over. Technically it is a foul, but I think its expected considering all the hard screens i set.

  5. yes, like dan mentioned huyen was being aggressive on offense in that clip. at the 43 second mark he throws his hips into me, maybe thats why i felt the need to use so much leverage. i'm not saying afterwards on the baseline was not a foul, that was a foul.

  6. LOL im sorry i typed that in wrong.

I meant to say alec was a bit too over aggresive on Huyen and a foul on alec.

    sorry for the confusion

  7. wtf you are on crack alec, how the hell was i being too aggressive in that clip. i think i was more or less shielding you away from the ball while you were molesting my back the whole play. i think dan was trying to say you were too aggressive on me

  8. First clip, I think if there were actual refs, they would have called that a charge. You are throwing your body into him, causing him to fall down. It's not JUST the stepping on his shoe. Anything after that is irrelevant (Ma pulling your shirt because he is falling, Mat pushing but the play is over).

2nd clip, you can't push with 2 hands against a player backing you down. You look like Davis out there!

3rd clip. Remember, we're not entirely sure that that was the layup which caused the conflict, which is why i wrote that disclaimer before it. Based on that clip, there was nothing wrong at all because you were going for the ball. But seeing as how clean that was, and how Roger had no outburst after the play, I'm wondering if that was the actual play. I didn't get the entire yelling bit or anything like that, so it almost leads me to believe I wasn't filming the play where the incident occurred. Maybe Roger was fouled on this first play cleanly, then he was fouled again intentionally on a second, un-filmed play. Who knows.

But whatever happened, I do stand against intentionally fouling a wide open player, especially since we don't have free throws. Roger, if he was indeed intentionally fouled, had a right to be upset. And from what you said on the court, and have said in the past, it sounded like it was an intentional foul. But if the footage that we have is THAT play, then it wasn't. So who knows.

And Dan, don't stand for being run over on screens. That is not to be expected and is not allowed.

  9. Alec, you shoulda pulled the chair out from under HYN, I'd like to see that on film.

  10. first, we don't have actual refs, so that is irrelevant. we also don't have instant replay, which makes all of these videos irrelevant. you can look at the first clip however you want to. rob ma was in the process of stepping back when i made that move, but he wasn't able to step all the way back because i stepped on his shoe. if he had established position, which he did not because he was stepping back, then the contact i made with him would not have caused him to collapse.

think about it this way. he was moving backwards, and i stepped on his shoe. when someones moving backwards and you prevent that by planting one of their feet on the ground, they are going to fall backwards. yes there was body contact, but you can't tell from the footage if i "threw" my body into him.

the entire play was correctly called. rob ma didnt call an offensive foul, and i got fouled twice after he fell to the ground. therefore i called foul and we got the ball back. that's what happened on the court, and that's that.

i didn't say you were being too aggressive huyen. i said you were being aggressive. there is absolutely nothing wrong with that at all. but your offensive aggressiveness caused me to counter with my defense. i didn't all of a sudden just plant myself on the ground to use leverage to prevent you from backing up for no reason. because really you are as skinny as i am and i don't need to do that under ordinary circumstances. but either way, i was over aggressive on my part. yes it was a foul.
    ______________________________________________

yes i know you can't use two hands. again, this was not a normal circumstance. against ray i use one arm when he backs me down, every single time. if huyen wanted to call it then he should have.

  11. I had no problems until it became blatant near the end. Like I said, I rarely call fouls to begin with. Which just pisses me off when people blindly call it on me (AKA MATT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

  12. Okay here goes. Rob was guarding me in that game- I know for a fact i can drive past Rob (no offense). And i did 3 times in a row. IF i blow by someone 3 times in a row with an open layup, then i expect to make those layups or even at least 2 of them, granted i don't fuck it up. But ALL THREE TIMES i was fouled. ALL. THREE. TIMES. Now that is what set me off. Now look at the end score 10-12. If i had made all 3 of those shots, we would have won. Even if i made 2, we still would've won because we would have reached 12 before their team. So you take a look at the facts and tell me what kind of attitude i was supposed to hold after that? It's not even near the end and i can't get to the basket without being fouled. Now i understand that if the game was one the line, fouling ONCE to prevent the game from ending is a legit play. But this was the beginning and it happened THREE TIMES IN A ROW BY THE SAME PERSON. Now i don't know if this was recorded, but Huyen blew by Herb 2 or 3 times during the time they were on their "comeback" but Herb didn't foul, and I wouldn't have fouled either because props to Huyen, he actually blew by Herb. So that's why i got angry. And yes i was about to throw some punches after Alec ran into me when i was setting that screen, luckily i did not do anything rash. So to my logic, I don't think i was saying anything out of line. According to what happened, I felt it was extremely unfair and if i had not said anything, it was going to happen the rest of the game. Intentional or not- 3 times in a row? Cmon.

  13. i dont recall 3 times in a row. it was only twice (i am referring to the ones where i went after the ball, this happened twice, one right after the other). and the thing that bothered me was that you had something to say, i dont even remember what, after the very first one. if it was later in the game, i would understand. but this was one of the first plays of the game. i know u were pissed from the game you played before, but huyen rob and i had nothing to do with that game. if you had not said something after that first one, then maybe the whole situation would not have erupted like it did.

all i know is that i came over to help both times. rob failed to cover you at the 3, and huyen failed to do his assigned job of helping when u drove past rob. because huyen failed to do that, i rushed over both times. i have no idea how i guard players in situations similar to this one. but i was trying to make up for what our game plan was supposed to be.

again, thank you for not throwing punches after that screen. i was pissed at the verbal trash that was being dished out. but that doesn't mean i can go around throwing myself at a player. my bad, and i hope that never happens again. i will do my best to control my anger the rest of the bba season. ill try not to let talking get the best of me, and ill try and play under control.
