Give me the damn ball and the blame game

It's a month into the season and I already have a losing percentage! Overall, my field goal percentage is better than most of the BBA seasons I've been involved in, not to mention my 3-point percentage is somehow above 30% for once. Even my point per shot matches my career high. So why am I on the losing end of so many games?

I've complained to Russ and Mike constantly (not like they ever listen to me on the drive home) about how I feel I am playing the best defense of my life (not like I was ever that great to begin with...but whatever) yet have to fight to get a shot off since my teammates don't give me the ball enough this season. Seriously, put it in my FREAKIN hands and let me do work. All season I've had to work to get my own shots, since for whatever reason, every time I pass the ball, I don't get it back. I didn't have a single game of only 1 field goal made in a game ALL of last season. I've had 5 already this season.

Over half the league shoots the ball more times per game than me. My shots per game would be even worst if I wasn't forced to jack up shots, regardless if they are high percentage or not, because my team is in a hole and I figured I might as well jack up anything just to get a shot at the rim. I should seriously make videos of me running around in freakin circles waving my arm around as my teammates play a two-man game. The video of me screaming "GIVE ME THE BALLL" as Kevin is laughing during his recording makes me want to stab myself in the eye.

Which brings me to the next point: Sure I give up a layup now and then, but my defense has been pretty in-your-face this year. Attribute it to me forcing myself to do cardio in my sparetime, but I feel confident about guarding anyone. However, all I'm doing this season is playing lockdown defense on my man...only to turn around and watch the opposing team run layup drills and open jumpers on my teammates. Seriously...GUARD SOMEONE. And what is my reward for making the opponents basically play 2on3? Oh yes....I DON"T GET THE BALL ON OFFENSE.

I hate life.

Worst Week in BBA History?

I'd just like to point out that the reason DAN left early this week was not because he needed to pick up his sister, but because he was sucking it up big time and could not afford to play another game and see his stats tank. His 3-game stretch this week is quite possibly the worst week by anyone in BBA history:

Record: 0-3
Points: 0.33 ppg
Rebounds: 0.67 rpg
Assists: 0.00 apg
FG: 1 for 7, 14.3%
3PT: 0 for 4, 0.0%

It can't get much worse than this.

Well great, we're halfway through the season and we already have a champion!

Thanks to the unbalanced schedule forced upon us by various absences, injuries, tardiness and early departures, JOE-ROG-DAV have already played 5 games and won them all to go 5-0! Meanwhile, WLL-HRB-DAV have yet to play even 1 game. And considering that JOE-ROG-DAV's final game is against HYN-MKE-RUS, who's only win thus far has been against preseason #Worst Team in the BBA RAY-MA-DAV, they can almost be guaranteed of going 6-0. Only one team in BBA history has finished the season undefeated at 6-0, and that was KLO-ROG-DAN, who did it twice in consecutive seasons to win back-to-back titles. The writings on the wall: HYN said he could do something magical with HYN-MKE-RUS. Something magical MUST be done to stop JOE-ROG-DAV.

Note: If Strength of Schedule were calculated, surely JOE-ROG-DAV would have one of the weakest (based on current Power Rankings):

- #9 HYN-RAY-MAT (2-2): Preseason #2 has been very disappointing thus far
- #25 HYN-MA-DAN (0-4)
- #19 KLO-MA-MKE (0-1)
- #18 WLL-MKE-MAT (1-3)
- #19 WLL-MA-DAN (0-1)
- #17 HYN-MKE-RUS (1-2)

Here's to hoping that 1) HYN-MKE-RUS pulls off something sexy, or else 2) A second team finishes 6-0 so we can have a true title/championship series.
