I feel dirty

I appreciate Dan's support for me being BBA Player of the Week, but I honestly felt I had better weeks when I got passed up. For some reason I felt really good while shooting around before the games, but once the offical whistles blew...i sucked.

I have to thank ROG for coming through with a triple double to save our team, MA and MAT for playing big in the second game while I was jacking up stupid 3 pointers when we had game-point, and Herb for playing out of his mind in my third game (watch the vids...I literally just pass the ball to him and told him to go to work).

So yes, thank you to my teammates for dragging me across the finish line in my 12-10, 12-11, and 12-11 games.

Too bad Herb had that one crappy game, otherwise, he had an excellent showing. Jesus...he made 15 SHOTS in two consecutive games. Good job for listening to my wise words of wisdom over beer pong on Saturday Herb (STFU ALEC, I inspired him, not RAY). HRmphhhh!

Idea for Next BBA Season

Week 5 News Addendum

Stats are up for Week 5, along with Dan's first ever News segment, thanks Dan!

Just a few things I noticed:
- HRB played in 3 straight 12-11 nail-bitters:
  1. RAY-HRB-ROB's crucial 11-12 loss to HYN-MA-MAT, ending their undefeated bid, sending them to fight amongst the crowded 3-1's.  (Although, like I had pointed out before, their 12-0 shutout of ROG-ALC-DAV might prove to be the deal breaker.  Their Margin is still tops in the league.)  HRB played terrible in this one, scoring only 1 point.  This performance quite possibly cost him the Player of the Week Award.
  2. ROG-HRB-RUS's complete meltdown, letting KLO-DAN-ROB come back from down 3-11 to tie it at 11.  They did not deserve the win, but KLO gifted it to them with the missed point blank layup, and HRB took the money and ran, finishing off his superb 8 point performance with the sudden-death game winner.
  3. HYN-HRB-RUS, lead by HRB's 7 points, edged out ROG-MAT-DAV 12-11, with HRB again hitting the game-winning shot.  Two straight game-winning shots by HRB with it tied 11-11.  Clutch.
- Equally clutch: MAT's 3 game-winners on all 3 of his wins from his 3-2 day.  Probably most tragically his game-winning 3 pointer against KLO-RAY-RUS to win the game 13-10 and complete ROG-MAT-DAV's improbable comeback and give them their first win...  KLO and RAY were tearing it up at the beginning of that game, with assists galore.  Then something happened...  MAT happened: 7 points on 54.5% shooting, 1 for 2 from 3pt, with 8 rebounds.

- There have only been 3 recorded 0 pt - 0 reb - 0 ast games: DAV had one, MA had one, and now ROB had one.  If ROB could have managed to contribute just a point, KLO-DAN-ROB would have won.

- KLO managed to do several things with the missed layup for the ages:
  1. Lose the game.
  2. Miss out completing the first ever 12 point game in BBA modern history.
  3. Lose KLO-DAN-ROB's undefeated season.
  4. Lose KLO-DAN-ROB's spot atop this week's Power Rankings at 4-0.
  5. Leave the greatest comeback in BBA history incomplete.
  6. Drop to 1-3 on the day, likely costing him Player of the Week honors after averaging what would have been 6.00 ppg, 3.25 rebs, 1.00 asts on 48.5% shooting, 53.3% 3pt.
  7. Give ROG-HRB-RUS their first win, enabling them to jump 5 spots in the Power Rankings.
- MA jumped from last to 1st in 3pt Percentage, from 0% to 33.3%... By making 1 3-pointer.  He is 1 for 3 on 3 point shooting.  I hope this will encourage the new 3 point Leader to take more 3's!  (If not, as Commissioner I hereby mandate the "5 shot attempts" rule: YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 5 ATTEMPTS TO BE ATOP THE LEADERBOARD!  All in favor, say Aye!)

- Preseason #1 is now ranked 23rd out of 24.  KLO-HRB-DAV is 1-3 and sucking it up big time.

- ALC just can't keep it consistent: Look at all those peaks and valleys on his Progression Chart (Point totals last 6 game: 0, 6, 0, 7, 1, 5)

F- - - HRB-MA-ROB!

all 3 of hrb-ma-robs wins have come against alc teams. thank god i dont have to play them again.
